Challenge.

Development of a four-sided platform model (roof owners, tenants, PV installers, and MaxSolar/Energy Partners) in a highly dynamic market environment. In theory, all parties benefit: roof owners receive lease payments for providing their rooftop space, tenants get cheaper electricity through a PPA, PV installers gain new projects, and Energy Partners generate revenue. In practice, success depends on fast and precise execution.

Approach.

Lean business model design followed by fast-track validation. The validation phase took just 10 weeks, followed by MVP development and launch within 2.5 months. Additional functionalities were then deployed step by step on a weekly basis.

Results.

  • 150 project modules, including the development of the core platform, installer portal, and internal portal.
  • Go-live of the website within just 2 months.
